ABOUT Dion Bayman is an Australian musician, songwriter and producer. He has released five studio albums with all receiving wide acclaim from fans and critics alike. Dion is also an experienced live act. His entertaining shows and extensive touring over the years has garnered a large and loyal following. Dion says of his most recent studio album ‘Alive’: “‘Alive’ was three years in the making and it’s well worth the wait! This is a big melodic rock/pop album with a few surprises. Hopefully it can be a little distraction from what’s going on in the world at the moment. I don't think I've worked as hard on an album before as I have on this one. I am extremely proud of this new record.” After spending several years working on demo tracks and fine-tuning his producing skills, Dion’s debut studio album ‘Smoke and Mirrors’ was released in 2013. This release was followed up with the albums ‘Afterburn’ (2014) and ‘Don’t Look Down’ (2016). In 2018 Dion signed with record label Art of Melody Music for the release of his fourth studio album ‘Better Days’. As has been the case with all of his releases, ‘Better Days’ received rave reviews and was consistently featured in many end of year top ten album lists. Dion has also achieved international chart success, with his ‘Better Days’ album entering the Top 60 iTunes chart in Spain. All of Dion’s previous albums also featured in the Top 100. In 2019 Dion was invited to perform an hour long set at the “Melodic Rock Night 3” concert in Italy. Dion thoroughly entertained the crowd and the show was a huge success. In 2021 Dion reissued his ‘Better Days’ album featuring new cover art and a bonus track. Dion writes, records, produces, performs, mixes and masters his own music. Everything you hear is Dion Bayman. It all started from the age of six when Dion began classical piano lessons, undertaking grade examinations with the Australian Music Examinations Board. Dion continued these lessons for the next eleven years becoming an accomplished pianist. At nineteen, Dion joined his first band and was quickly becoming known as a singer and performer. Over a twenty year period Dion has fronted several popular local rock bands and continues to perform today as a solo artist. Along with headlining shows with his various bands, Dion has supported or shared the stage with big name acts including Ian Moss, 1927, The Choirboys, The Cockroaches and Alessandro Del Vecchio. After taking a few years off from performing, Dion returned to playing gigs in 2024 with a brand new solo show. Dion’s musical tastes are wide ranging. However, his song writing influences include acts such as Richard Marx, Keith Urban, Bon Jovi and Bryan Adams to name just a few.
